Creating a more sustainable hospitality industry
To us, sustainability isn’t a buzzword—it’s a guiding principle that informs everything we do, for the good of the industry we love so much.

From farming to food waste and consumer trends, packaging to electricity, oceans to the Olympics, hospitality impacts (and is impacted by) so many parts of our world, yet we’re getting more disconnected from the wider food system. And now more than ever, it’s an exciting, vulnerable, powerful, challenging and opportunity-packed rollercoaster to be on, which is why embracing sustainable practices isn’t only about doing what’s right for the environment, or a green ‘fad’ to be dismissed — it’s about securing the future of your business, and creating a legacy you can be proud of.

Our approach – the four pillars

We’re committed to fostering sustainability in all aspects of hospitality, because we know that a change needs to happen for our environment and industry to flourish for generations to come. From large institutions to small businesses looking to make a big impact, we work across four key pillars of change:

Community

Collaboration is everything. We work with our clients to expand and strengthen their community ties, to create lasting, beneficial sustainable solutions. For example, we can help you identify and secure supply from local farmers, and work with community groups and local councils to understand challenges and solutions unique to your area.

On a wider scale we work closely with industry body groups to provide events, education and to keep our own community up to date with strengths and opportunities.

Education

Education and awareness is at the forefront of what we do – awareness is the first step to change.

We host webinars, workshops, farm and market tours to inspire, inform and foster a sense of community in working towards solutions. These resources also make education and change accessible to anyone in the hospitality industry, especially those on a tighter budget or just starting their sustainability journey.

Innovation

There are some amazing businesses and people doing some really incredible things in this space. We are always seeking, sourcing and aligning with new innovations and approaches to assist with the sustainable movement of hospitality.

Policy

We work with academics, business leaders and government to advocate for frameworks and policy change around food waste, and for funding and research to further develop local supply chains.

Embracing sustainability can help you

Attract and retain diners, setting you apart from competitors in a market that’s increasingly climate-aware and expecting more from the businesses they support.

Reduce costs, through actions like reducing waste, optimizing energy usage and maximising yield from your products.

Meet (or stay ahead of) government targets and regulations, and get access to grants and support through aligning with wider sustainability initiatives.

Engage and empower quality people, by furthering your team’s skills, encouraging creativity, recognising their efforts and appealing to future generations.

Strengthen your relationships, improving supplier reliability and community support and much more…
